Primarily, soy grows in China and has been cultivated for thousands of years. Because of this location, the plant has thin and dense hairs on the stem and leaves to protect it from drying out. Soy plants can grow up to 150 cm high and because they produce their own pollen, they can pollinate themselves and survive without bees.
